Andre Ward vs Sullivan Barrera Preview: Its been years when Andre Ward fought against someone who had a fighting chance. Since his victory over Carl Froch back in 2011 he has fought only three times. Injuries combine with promotion disputes has kind of halted his success and even last year in november he pulled out of the fight due to injury. So what can we expect from this fight ?

34 year old Sullivan Barrera is a decent fighter with a unbeaten record of (17-0 with 12 knockouts) he has been fighting professional only since 2009. He has more power in his shots than Ward but its the big fight experience where he lacks behind Ward. Barrera’s big fight was against “Karo Murat” in December 2015 where he won a TKO in fifth round.

Overall he will be a tough opponents for Andre Ward but I just think Ward’s big fight experience will get him through no matter how Barrera performs on the night. This fight is a stepping stone for Andre Ward who is widely tipped to finally get in the ring against “Sergey Kovalev” later this year in November.
